The Shapton company of Japan has been manufacturing stones for many years. In 2017 they had a major reorganization and dissolved their distribution network in the US.
These are the best grade of Shapton stones and the ones I use every day to hone blades for customers. Better than the Pro series or the Kuromaku lines.
