These are precision tools for measuring the Rockwell hardness of steel in the 58 – 64 range. We use them on straight razors to see what we’re working with and to help diagnose problems. This 4 piece set is adequate for those working with straight razors or knives. They are more accurate than hardness files as they increment by 2 points.
